Sourcing a song for our music video.

We wanted to find a generic indie pop song to use for our music video so we found a number of bands both from previous knowledge or through a genre search on Myspace.

We sent a request to gain permission from a number of bands that fit our requirements:

Stornoway, We Have Band, Throw Me The Statue, Connan Mockasin, Wavves, Good Shoes and Sky Larkin.

We received three replies from Good Shoes, Stornoway and Connan Mockasin; all confirming that we would be able to use their music. And we chose to use Good Shoes' "Ice Age" as it was the most suitable for the ideas we had and also, in the song, it has the lyrics "I watch T.V because I'm lazy" which incorporates the television style theme that we are hoping to achieve. Also they do not currently have a music video for this song, so we can be totally original with it and take the song into a new direction.

These are our replies from Connan Mockasin and Stornaway,the two which we decided against using.
